Society for Healthcare Strategy and Marketing Development Annual Conference, 2011

This conference has a huge factor to it. Large number of attendees, in an expansive resort setting with more sessions than you could possibly fathom. The opening speaker was Daniel Fink on “What the Science of Motivation Can Teach You about High Performance”. Great speaker! Compelling. I found Vicki Lucas’ (Vicki Lucas, LLC) key promotion as the opening session sponsor to be very clever. It was the old “try the key to unlock the prize”. To her credit, the exhibit was packed to prove an old and tried true still works. Sessions always provide more ideas and insight that you just don’t have the time for back at the office. I particularly enjoyed “Can’t We All Just Get Along” which focused on the collaboration of Marketing and PR for winning results. And I made several new friends.
